Mother of All Jobs is delighted to be working with a leading communications organisation to recruit a friendly and proactive HR Officer. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Bristol with 3 days from home and 2 in the office.
The HR Officer will be at the heart of the people function, supporting the full employee lifecycle and helping the organisation to remain a supportive and engaging place to work. From recruitment and onboarding to employee relations and learning and development, this role will give you plenty of scope to make a real impact.
Key responsibilities include
- Acting as the first point of contact for HR queries, providing advice and guidance to managers and employees
- Managing end-to-end recruitment processes, from writing job descriptions and advertising to interviewing and onboarding
- Coordinating inductions and ensuring new employees settle in successfully
- Supporting employee relations cases, ensuring fair and consistent processes are followed
- Updating and maintaining HR systems and records accurately
- Drafting and updating HR policies, ensuring compliance with current legislation
- Coordinating training and development opportunities, including sourcing providers and monitoring uptake
- Managing payroll and benefits administration in collaboration with the finance team
- Preparing HR reports and analysing data to support decision-making
- Supporting wellbeing, diversity and inclusion initiatives across the organisation
- Building strong relationships across the business to promote a positive, supportive workplace culture
We’re looking for
- Previous experience in an HR role with strong knowledge of HR processes and UK employment law
- CIPD Level 3 or above (or working towards it)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and credibility quickly
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work independently when needed
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
