Building Imagination

Contract
On-site
London
£35 - £45 GBP hourly

Are you a parent, or have experience managing groups of children and would be interested in working with a team to inspire children?

We run after school and lunchtime clubs that provide children with opportunities to explore their creativity.

What We Do

We run exciting clubs where children explore their imaginations using Lego and technology:

  • Building Blocks - A club where students get to explore projects and games such as bridge building, tree house making and zip line challenges using Lego.
  • Programmable Robotics - A club where students learn to build and code small interactive robots. They are able to do this even if they have absolutely no prior experience of robotics or coding.
  • Virtual Reality Design - Our newest club, where children learn to build 3D worlds and then bring what's on the screen into the real world. (Think projected solar systems and planets flying through the classroom)
Game Design: An engaging club where students dive into building their own arcade games, mastering the fundamentals of coding, character logic, and interactive storytelling as they transform their creative ideas into playable digital experiences.

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay: Earn £35 per session for Building Blocks and £40–£45 for other clubs, plus travel expenses covered or £5 per session if you cycle.
  • Fully equipped: All teaching materials and ready-to-use lesson plans are provided.
  • Supportive community: Connect regularly with a vibrant network of fellow educators to share tips and ideas.
  • Local: Run weekly term-time sessions across London (typically 3:30–4:30 PM, with some double sessions) at schools close to where you live.

What We Are Looking For

  • Childcare confidence: A natural ability and confidence working with children (no formal teaching qualification required).
  • Reliable commitment: Able to commit to teaching at least one weekly hour session for the whole term.
  • Compliance: Must hold an Enhanced DBS certificate (or be willing to let us apply for one on your behalf) and complete safeguarding documentation.
  • Training readiness: Willing to participate in a 2-hour initial training session and go over teaching materials before each session

As a young growing organisation, we are always looking for passionate individuals to bring their unique skills and energy to our programs.
